Can't remember for certain...but what did you see when you scouted?

Welcome the board Kevinm.... I am new here as well, and the hospitality is overwhelming :fingerhead: . I visit quite regularly and wonder why there are never many new threads started. I am learning that nobody wants to start a thread only to have their head bitten off by the first several replies. If you or I met Willie in person (and I never have), we would probably get along great seeing that all of us obviously have something in common. It's unfortunate that 99% of the "introductions" on this board are of the wise-*** variety. Damn shame.

As tfor answering your original question, I have no idea if blinds are up, as I don't hunt that area. Best of luck to you on your hunt. :welcome:

http://www.ncwildlife.org/License/docum ... edmont.pdf Read up a little.

There are no blinds on these impoundments. Considerin for everyone else that will be tryin to hunt tomorow, I want to let yall know before you get out there and walk in circles tryin to find one. I'm not tryin to give you a hard time on your first post, but have somewhat of an idea before you start askin questions about draw hunts, alot of people try hard to get these hunts and can get quite upset to see people get them that don't even know what county they are in. My best advice is go out there TODAY to atleast get an idea for your own success and others.

Wings Cupped...not sure exactly where to start with my reply.

Okay, I'll start here. First, you're not new here. You joined way back in 2007. You ought to do more posting instead of lurking. People really are not that bad here compared to some of the other sites.

Second, my reply to Kevin was not meant to be assholish as you implied, and I didn't intend to bite his head off. Kevin, if I did, I'm sorry. It was an honest answer and a good question back to Kevin. I don't recall if there are blinds in that place or not. Having hunted many places, I tend to forget what is where...so I have to refer to my hunting log book which details the details...including what I see when I go out and S C O U T.

Again, sorry if I hurt your feelings...it was not my intention. At least I didn't provide you with any wrong information...

Hey kevin, call the NCWRC, and tell them the info you are looking for concerning that specific gameland. They will point you in the direction of the C.O. or Wildlife biologist for that area. These guys can be very helpful if you can get through to them. I spoke to one a few months back that was glad to talk with me, and gave me some great information.

Also take the time to introduce yourself to the board. There are a great group of guys around this board that are worth getting to know.

Nothing to talk about on my end when the hunting sucks, and I post questions more when I'm prepping for the season. I'm getting out a few more times, but I'm starting to get into the fly-fishing mindset.

Thanks for the information. Not offended by the request about scouting. It's a fair question.

My plan was to get out there and scout this week but was simply too busy -- so I figured I'd ask. Given that this is the first time hunting here I'm not expecting much. I writing this off to being a learning experience.

As for introductions -- been hunting ducks only for a few years. Still a newbie and looking forward to learning from the folks on this forum.

If you have never been out to the place, please stay home. This is for safety and to make sure you do not ruin someone else's hunt. Step in the ditch and you're gonna be swimming. Scouting is a learning experience, not showing up to hunt at a place you've never been....that my friend is a disaster.
