Here in the uk we have very limited access to field decoys and those we do get are in limited poses . Ive seen the foam decoys you guys make and decided to have a go but covering the foam with paper mache instead of tile cement . As I have to do everything one handed weight is a big consideration . The mallards are purely field decoys but the Eurasion Widgeon can be used either on land or water as they have small weight mounted inside the bodies . Some of the detail is not so good but now I know how strong the finished decoys are the next ones will have more detail .After painting I treated the decoys with Rustoleum clear matt finish but they shone way too much so mixed the Rustoleum with liquid paraffin and got a totally flat matt finish . Would appreciate your thoughts .
