I got a SMH...I like it a lot. Personally, I don't think you can go wrong either way...IMO. They are both quality calls.
I have heard that Zink calls a great calls but take a while to learn how to blow...but what short reed isn't. I also heard that the SMH was an easy call to learn on...but I didn't find it to be that way. It took some playing around with it, just like any other short reed.
Not that your are, but if you are new to short reeds and are trying to pick the one you can just pick up and blow with ease, likely not gonna happen either way you go.
To avoid spending 150.00 check out the Yard Sale section of the Foiles forum...people always have nice calls they are looking to sell or trade, both Zink and Foiles. You might save yourself 50.00 or so.
