Not a bad work lunch! Goose breasts in the crockpot with spicy raspberry mango jam and cranberry juice. Also roasted pumpkin and turnips in a sage brown butter .

Made burgers tonight. 4-5lbs of goose, 1lb of maple bacon, charred jalapeños and cherry peppers, garlic powder, cumin, S&P. Should be good.

Pan seared mallard breast with quinoa, dried fruit and sweet and spicy pecans. Made a pan sauce with spicy raspberry mango jam.

A lil venison chili to go with some epic football games yesterday (really all weekend!). Turned out perfect, enough heat to break a little sweat, but not destroy your tastebuds. Wasn’t sure how the wife would enjoy it, but we both devoured it, so I think it met approval

Cooked my first Bufflehead tonight. Brined for a day 1/2 and then marinated in Italian dressing. Wrapped the breasts in bacon and cooked on the grill. It didn’t taste like a Mallard but not bad at all. No fishiness. I want to do a teriyaki marinade next time.
