For all you ferd guys...

Jul 6, 2005 3:24 PM

Ford Motor Co. is conducting a safety recall involving 2004 and 2005 model year vehicles equipped with its 6.0L diesel engines to address reported incidents of engine stalling while driving. The action covers 180,000 of its E-350 and E-450 vans, F-250 through F-550 Super Duty trucks, as well as its Excursion sport utility vehicle.

Ford dealerships will upgrade or replace the fuel injection control module wire harness, and/or have a new injection control pressure sensor connector installed, according to Ford.

For more information, contact Ford at 800-392-3673, or the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) hotline at 888-327-4236.

they shoulda stuck with the power stroke.
hahh hahaa......

Dude, it IS the powerstroke...... :hammering:

but they made it "better" as some would say.

They found a way to make it a 6.0 instead of a 7.3, which makes it more "economical", but tweaked it out to get slightly better performance at the same time!

Well Im glad they are fixing the "bug", it is still a kikin engine!

On another site there was a poll for all the stoker guys, and everyone with the 7.3 got way better mileage than all the guys with the 6.0. In a big truck like that, if you put a smaller motor in it, it's gonna really screw up the mileage.

Depends on the motor. Cummins is a 5.9 litre 6 cylinder engine. Puts out more power and better fuel ecomonomy than the bigger diesels did.
