Had a surprisingly good hunt in North Florida on Saturday. It was me and 3 other guys split 2 to each boat. Me and one of the guys went to a spot I havent hunted for awhile and it was really on. In the end me and him shot a Drake Mallard, Hen Mallard, Mottle, and 2 Drake Bluewing Teal while my other 2 buddies shot 2 blackbellies. As me and the guy with me left our spot we saw a group of about 30-40 teal fly right over where we had been hunting :fingerhead: . Going to try and get out wednesday and knock some more down.

Im not going to lie my spot was just on fire for some reason that day. My buddies that were a lil bit south only saw those blackbellies. Im going to have to say alot of our success was due to the guy that came out with me. He normally hunts Mississippi and his gf just got him a new rnt call that worked wonders. We had a mallard working in on us with no deeks sitting in the boat out in open water and he wanted to land really bad. I have a feeling those mallards got confused on that cold front. Hopefully there still holed up in there on wednesday. Good luck over there in tally bud it was real slow when I was over there for christmas break!

Its been really slow everywhere around here this has been one of the slowest seasons that i can remember. Especially with all the cold weather.

This has been an exceptionally bad season, me and waterfowlwidowmaker850 found this out when we went up to arkansas for 6 days and hardly killed anything :no: . I really hope someone figures out whats going on with the birds because either there arent many of them or their staying up north somehow.

yeah i'm not sure where you boys are looking but this has been a pretty darn good season for me and i live in jax too..... we had to work a bit but i had plenty of good hunts with great friends..... I personally (in the state of florida) killed 100 birds easy this year. Now if you want to add in North Dakota well that number goes up a good bit... LOL :grooving:
