Looking to take my son down to Guad Delta WMA (you know the one, just trying to keep the google searchers at bay) to try and shoot a few birds. I have a beavertail 1200 so will probably try and stick to the areas that dont have competition with boats. Not trying to steal anyones spot just curious how the check in process works. I have never been down there. I was reading the rules and it said check in starts at 4am and you park in the # spot you plan to hunt. Does this imply there are only a certain number of spots available to hunt and if someone goes and parks at a space then that space is reserved for their group? I am stationed up at fort sam houston and I am trying to save myself a 2.5 hour drive. Thanks everyone!
