should i gut the bird before going to the taxy?? and any other prep??

NO! under no circumstances should you gut the bird.

Just keep it frozen. If the bird got warm and thats why you think you should gut it, the taxidermist will be unhappy but he'll be real steamed if he has to cover up your handy work,especially if you thaw it to gut and then re-freeze it. Take it striaght from the freezer to the taxidermist, if its over an hour away take a cooler.
