This fall I ran into quit a few lessors working our spread so I wanted a call that was a little higher pitched besides my supermag. So I went out and baught a half breed, man it is a whole new ball park with that call any advice would be great Thanks :thumbsup:

It takes some work for a half breed. Tim Grounds reccomends covering the end of the barrel with your first two fingers, leaving about a quarter of it uncovered. Cover with your off hand and move your on hand as you would if you are calling a short reed. I call that way and also as if it were a regular short reed. Work at it a bit and you will get it. Mine goes with me whenever I go into the field.

The Half-breed is a great meet call for what ever size canada. Here in MN we see alot of giants, and I can honestly say many-a goose become table fare with that call. It does require a little different back pressure, but mess with it enough and I'm sure you will like it.
