just wondering, ive been looking into buying a boat from otter outdoors. either a phantom, final attack, or stealth 1200, im most serious aboutthe final attack, it is the 2nd cheapest after the phantom, it costs 400 bucks, but it can be used as a permanent field blind, layout blind, or a layout boat, it weighs 70 pounds and has built in wheels for pulling it, it also has no seams so it cannot leak, it will hold up to a 2 hp motor, or a trolling motor, if i buy a trolling motor, will 30# thrust be enough? or should i boost it on up, my cousin used a 36 on his bass hunter on a slow moving river and he got along just fine, that was also with another person on it and the bass hunter weighs 2 times as much as the final attack, anyone have any experience with any of these boats? if so, give me some advice or suggestions, anything is appreciated
thanks

I dont know how much you want to spend or what you need the boat to do, but another option is the Aqua Pod. they have the 8 and 10 foot. I think the 8 foot is rated at 350lbs and the 10 foot is 500lbs. A friend of mine uses the 10 ft and it works well with a kyak paddle. He is a big guy and he load 3-4 doz dekes, dog, and equipt. It moves well in 6" if water fully loaded. He spend $900 on the boat and grass attachments. I think the 8ft one runs about $675 and will run in 2" of water.

I have one of the Osage 14' Vantage PT's. It is awesome! I hear they are making a 16' version this year. I may try to sell mine and bump up to that 16'! Some of my buddies tell me that it is rated for a 25 hp motor. That thing should fly!
