Someone posted a link to a website.
I think the name of the post was "Scouting on Steroids"
It was a link to NASA I believe and you could look at real pictures
of any area from space.

Does anyone know where this post is?

terraserver.com can be used for this. the only problem with that type of imagery is that it is typically pretty outdated. for examp, the photos of my areas and be 10-20 years old. a lot changes in that amount of time. but, it is a good starting point. hth!
