I have just aquired 1 dozen Herter's Canvasback decoys from my Father-inlaw. These decoys were bought in the 1950's and are hard plastic feeling. The have movable heads and no keel. At first I thought they were the amor coated ones, but the apear to be hollow, not foam. I can't find them anywhere on the net. Can anyone help, any good?, Price?

I think I have seen the decoys that you have.

Is there any markings at all on them? Can you post a pic of one of them?

No model # or anything. Her had 6 foam ones that were with these and I think I'll just hunt with them. Also the was 1 pintail that says. J. C. Higgins Lifelike Decoy Sears Roebuck and Co. It appears to be paperlike with glass eyes. Looks kind of like a seagull,,,LOL

Thanks for answering. Where are all the ducks?

That Higgins is indeed worth $, especially if in good or better condition.

OK I'm confused--you say there are no markings on the them-so how do you know it is a Herters?

Also what state are you from?
