Ya. Jewels would hurt quite a bit. Worst I've had is a slapshot right to the meaty part of my calf. Talk about a dead leg. Just kinda glide in circles for a little bit. Ankle definitely would hurt though. Sorry dude.

I played goalie for 5 years and yep, them suckers can hurt, especially a shot to the kneecap. Gettin hit in the sweet spot don't hurt too much, but boy do you want to puke blood for the next period. But try puttin on the stripes then tell me when you get hit it hurts. Refs and linesman skate the whole 60 mins, have both teams and the fans hate them, and wear 1/2 the gear. One thing I noticed is its fine for players to wear a halfshield because they are in the action sticks can't come up because they are too close, but refs are always at that perfect distance  .

Where do you play at Texasduckblaster? I just started about 6 months ago with taking the adult hockey skating lessons at dpsc plano, then shoot n score. and I was going to take the Adult initiation class, but had to drop it-beginning of the school semester.......next time around i'm sure. Its a total blast. I'm getting ready to get on an I league team, just not sure where I am going to play yet.

I live in Dallas, but work in Plano. I work right down the street from the DPSC-So I skate there all the time. I also come up on the weekends to skate and play. No ice in my area, so gotta make the drive, its worth it. I've skated at ITC, I will proably be playing in the I-League there-I have some friends on a team there.
