Yes, it probably is, but people pay a lot more than that to see that dumb sob Justin beaver or that country singer that looks like mr Ed. Whatever floats yur boat. I'd rather see the Robertson's than either of the two I mentioned up yonder.

I'm betting the venue paid them a flat fee to appear and the promoters set the price.
Yep. That's very true WTN. Just went through that whole scenario with the Stones tour. The performers really have no control over what the promoters want to charge.Nor do they necessarily get a proportionate cut. Even on the hundreds of millions of dollars scale like the Stones they have thousands behind them trying to make every penny they can. Not that it really probably interests you that much, but they lost their royalty rights to most of their music before about 1972 or so due to a shady manager. Just kills me to hear their music on a commercial or a movie and know they are not receiving much for it. A little bit of writing royalty is what I understand, but not close to full royalties. Then again....not like they haven't done ok for themselves! :lol3:
I do believe, as I think you are saying, that the performer/writer/originator should get the majority of the profits generated from their abilities. If you are successful, there are going to be a lot of people worth hiring....accountants, attorneys, advertisers...etc., but the talent shouldn't be left with the droppings.

I just want to know what a "live show" entails without paying to see it. I understand the whole promoter/ticket price thing same as with any concert. Not complaing the Dynasty guys are charging to much bla bla bla... Hell if it was 10 bucks I would see it I like the humor and religion based show for what it is a scripted reality show.

I wasn't "bashing" duck commander you beard sniffers.....

Everybody has their own opinion about the Robertson's and Duck Dynasty. My belief is that they produce a reality TV show that is entertaining and portrays values that are synonymous with my own. How many other reality shows do this? They have probably created more haphazard duck hunters but I think that they've done more good than they have harm. All the other TV shows such as teen mom and real housewives of NJ are adding to the chaos, but these guys are bringing facial hair and family to the entertainment industry. An industry that promotes nothing but sex, violence, drugs and hip hop culture. This crap is ruining our society. Hey, if Big Willie wants to charge 50 bucks for a show, that's just fine by me. Better than our youth buying Jay-Z or Lil Wayne tickets. Call me a sellout duck hunter or whatever you want but at least they are taking America back from the scumbags. And guess what, if you don't like em, don't watch em. Simple as that.
