Future plans for Hovey Lake State Fish & Wildlife Area will be discussed at a public forum scheduled for 6 p.m. on March 29 at the historic Hovey House, located at 330 Walnut St. in Mount Vernon.

Heard they're moving the shack closer in town across from Sabic seen signs few weeks ago something to do with the DNR across from there. Make alot of sense to move it further yet from boat ramp and make it an even bigger cluster than before

Yup and it's a done deal. Sadly.
But it will be after this duck.season from what I hear due to permitting and utilities.

Ya you'll see people hunting without even drawing or launching boats and going to draw. But that's already been done a few times to last year!

New CO down there for Posey now. That might help. At this meeting all that was brought up... But some people dont follow rules so you know...

Ya I didn't even go down there last year to much head ache racing back to the ramp someone hit my truck with their boat put a nice Dent and scratches on my truck
