I still can't get over the fact that you have 11 damn beagles. That must be a heck of a pack. There isn't a rabbit safe within 10 square mile of that pack. I have only hunted rabbits once with beagles, it must have been 15years ago. It was a friend of my Grandads who hunted them all the time. If i remember right we didn't see hide nor hare.

There ain't nothing wrong with 11 beagles. Grandaddy used to have more dogs than you can shake a stick at and he would hunt with around a dozen everytime. It was great when were a kid, because it was like a zoo at his house. He had rabbit beagles, deer hounds, **** dogs, bird dogs, a german shephard, rabbits, quail, turkeys, cows and other animals that I'm sure I'm forgetting. The best was when he would train his beagle pups with one of his penned rabbits. Nothing beats a pack of puppies chasing a full grown rabbit around the yard. Those days were great. He is 84 now and had to get rid of all of dogs except a couple. Man do I ever miss those days. Oh yeah, we did kill a few cottontails every now and then.

i know a fella that brings 3 packs down every feb to run his short-legged beagles around our property. it is very cool listening to them run. the best part, when they head your way...man you better be ready cause the rabbits around here move like greased lightening. teal have nothing compared to a rabbit stretching it out on a power line or other fire break!

We normally only use one beagle to hunt with at a time as we normally hunt in snow and the varying hare tends to keep to their trails when chased. No cotton tails round here.
