I noticed a brand of shotgun made by benelli, called stoeger. Has anyone handled or shot one of these guns? I need all the information on them i can get. I was eyeing the 2000 camo model (looks great). I am curious... what makes these auto's so cheap? Anything is helpful.

i hear the insides of the 2000's are just like the super black eagle, but half the price, they are pretty good guns as far asi know, they only chamber 3" shells though

Don't have one myself but I know a few people that do and they all generally like the performance of the Stoeger. The finish on the stock was considered to be less than ideal but it isn't how good looking the gun is as much as how well it worked.

The gun is not made by Benelli. Actually Stoeger belongs to the Beretta - Benelli group, on a stock holders' basis. It is made in Turkey. The quality is so and so, and the mechanism is inertia with a rotating bolt, but the recoil spring is under the forend, around the magazine, not in the stock like the Benelli's.
