How did you shoot on Saturday? At the club I belong to south of the Kern Refuge, I harvested 1 Green Wing drake, a pair of cinnamon teal, 2 hen widgeons (they were an accident I was trying for the drakes, got the hens)and a spoony drake. It seemed that there were not a whole lot of birds flying. However, I am noticing a lot of birds starting to pair up. It seemed like kind of a slow day for getting this close to the end of the season.
