I will be hunting divers with a layout and I was thinking of rigging them up on long lines like sea ducks but not quite as long.

Do you guys prefer to rig them on long lines with clips or individually ?

If the waters deeper than about 8 feet I would go with the long lines. The next decision is whether you go with long lines and clips or with something like a bds rig where the decoys stay attached to the long line and you use droppers to anchor them. We use the bds rig when sea duck hunting. It's super fast to put out but the downside is that it takes longer to pick up and often times when I get home I stretch it out on the lawn and carefully stow them in the slotted bags so that they don't tangle the next morning when putting them out. Honestly I'm thinking about going back to the traditional long lines and clip

I've been considering different ways of doing it... We've actually built some decoy rafts and they can be difficult to keep from twisting and the decoys bunching up. More recently I have been considering making up some 4-5' long Texas rigs without weights, clipping the first decoy to an anchor line, and then clipping each 4-5' Texas rig to the decoy in front of it. Essentially this is a long line but without the use of a main line. Have any of y'all tried this?

I run long-lines with 24" droppers so the dog can navigate through without getting caught. I anchor the layout by the stern and then run two lines forming a "V" back to (and attached to) the bow of the layout. Has worked pretty well.
