How many of you guy's run hunt test & which do you prefer,ukc or akc & why?

I run AKC tests, I would also run UKC but there are not any clubs close enough.

We run AKC also.

Haven't looked into UKC, but suspect that I'll have the same issues as JJ.

The AKC tests in our area are often challenging, always a lot of fun, and always involve great people who care about dogs and our hunting heritage.

Hey guys I had a question about test v. trials in the retrieving world. I was watching WRC over the weekend and they kept mentioning the trial dogs v. the test dogs. What is the difference in the two disciplines. I know the differences in the pointing dog end of things, but was curious as to the differences in retrievers.

Any of you guys that run in tests or trials ever see any shorthairs or wirehairs running?

I run only AKC hunt tests & am also a judge I have never been to a hrc but I should check that venue out it seems like it would be alot of fun
