I just purchased a boat and am looking at flooring options. I want to do it right the first time.

I am looking to get it in the gray Molded diamond pattern. I have seen nothing but good things on here from people who like it. However a friend of mine said he pulled it out because it was slippery... ...however I am unsure if it was the real "hydroturf" or some other brand item that he was referencing.

Other than price does anyone have any complaints about the diamond pattern hydroturf? IE slippery etc)

Thanks my friend, for responding.

I have not had any responses on my two posts and I was thinking I was doing something wrong.

Thanks for the input, I am leaning this way I don't mind spending the money if the product is good!

Anyone else?

I installed it in my boat last year and hunted into mid november with it and had no slipping issues. I love the stuff and will be installing it in all my boats from now on. Installation of it can be a little pain, especially if you're picky about how it looks.

Sticky on the back sheets are definitely worth it, but you will want an extra set of hands for sure. I have the camo on a diamond pattern in my boat. Installed it about 6 years ago and it's all but gone now. Granted, I don't baby my boat and it stays out in the Southeast Texas sun year round which why it hasn't lasted as long as I had hoped. Also, my dog's toes dug a few holes in it over the years. Definitely the way to go for slipping issues, but like I said, over time in direct sun it won't hold up.

Preparation before applying is key. Make sure all debris and oil is removed. I grinded by floor down to bare aluminum, wiped down with Acetone or similar, applied self-etching primer, wiped down with Acetone again, and then applied the turf w/ the "sticky" on the back. Peal and stick, not much to it. For maintaining the turf, it's best to keep out of long-term UV exposure. It will break down and crumble off if left out. For patching small tears and punctures, I use a bit of gorilla glue.

^^^^^^^^ X 2

Clean that surface with denatured alcohol. Keep out of sun. Apple UV protect-ant few times a year.

Best stuff ever. Make templates out of cardboard and transfer over to turf, then cut and stick.
I wiped my entire surface w/ acetone and did it outside on a sunny day... you can't get the stuff off. I had a mistake and had
to remove one piece, unreal how difficult that turned out to be.

Sorry, dont get on here much. Apply UV protectant. I use Magurias? It will say UV protection on the front of bottle.

Pic is of 3 seasons of use.
