we need more info on where , how , what kind of bird. With out this info it is hard to tell you what you will need most (or more importantly, what not to buy!)

your gun will need to be tough. not pretty or fancy or even new. The gun that you have will handle most jobs...I recommend a modified choke , camoflauge clothes , a good camo hat, and maybe a face mask until you learn how to look at the birds. most important .....do what the experienced hunter says...with out question . That is how most of us learned! enjoy
