The quacks and greeting calls arent so deep in real, it was just the camera..Let me know what you think of my calling. My Dad has been doing all the calling in the group and I guess I decided to try to help and pitch in. I've been going at it for about 6 months and am still on the rise.Should I help try to call in the group or not???

You definately have the feed call down, and yeah I wouldn't hesitate to throw some of my calling into the group sounding like that, but I didn't hear any high balls or anything?

That would sound good on a close in feed pond, lets hear some high balls in with some lonesome hens, but you can definately feed call.

First off, nice canvasback!

Secondly, that is some good close in work for only running a call for 6 months. I would have no problems with you working that call in my blind for finish work.

Toss in a lonesome hen, bouncing hen, and maybe a cajun squeal with some decent high ball calling and that is definitely huntable.

get excited man, all seemed to laid back and boring for me. i also think you would get a better sound out of the call by putting more air into it. but thats just me. if you happy with it stick with it i guess.

nice, that was impressive......how did you start with the feed call. I have been working on it with no success.

Are you just tapping the front of your tongue above the rear of your front teeth? Or is there two spots of your tongue cutting air? That seems to be the problem I cant figure out.

Well "1ynggun" i first started out saying "ticka-ticka" but then that didnt work for me....so then I tried many other different ways to do it and I ended up on sayin "dugga dugga" it just all depends on how it fits YOUR calling style, I mean I know I still need alot of work and I'm not trying to say that I know everything about calling but thats just what fits me. Like I said I've been practicing the feed call for about 6 months at about 2 hours every day! and how im saying "dugga dugga" is that I'm taking the front of my tongue on the roof of my mouth and putting a good amount of air pressure through it and flipping it forward at a good rate, I start off slow and then work it up faster and faster. the first month I couldn't even get past saying "dugga dugga" 3 or 4 times,it was really aggrivating to not be able to get it down fast enough.....I hope I could help!!

everything you do is just laid back and quiet. you dont even need to do "hail" calls per say. just liven up your hen strings. you need to push more air into the call, even when you are getting quiet you should still be pushing the same amout of air into the call as when you are excited, you just choke it down more in the back of your mouth. listen to this and see if you can see what i mean.
