I live in NW Iowa , very close to South Dakota, and here it is amazing how much land get's tilled up for farm ground. Now I am not putting anything against farmer's at all, we need them also. I work in construction, and every year there is more, and more ground getting tiled out for farming. Thankfully where I live there is an abundance of public ground also. Ever since the CRP program only cover's highly erodible ground now, the duck population has went downhill here, these duck come back to the Dakota's, and Canada every spring to nest, that's where the main focus need's to be looked at, I would love to see more money spent in Iowa for ground, but the real problem is not here. we need to put the support, to the source IMO. More nesting ground more duck's BOTTOM LINE!!! IMHO
