Below is an email I received a few days ago. If this passes it is only the start... More counties will follow. Call, write, or whatever! We really need to let our voices roar on this one guys!
:hammer: :hammer:

J,
This information is from John Nases On Outdoors Feb.
7, 08. "Many of these bills are introduced by
Chicago-area lawmakers, who, perhaps understandably,
have little regard for outdoor recreation
opportunities that we take for granted in the rest of
the state. State Rep. Naomi Jakobsson, D-Urbana, has
introduced House Bill 4349, an "encoded ammunition"
bill. It would require all cartridge and bullets for
handguns and most rifles to be stamped with a
registration number. Possession of non-encoded
ammunition would be prohibited. Retailers would have
to keep records of every box of ammo sold. And did I
mention the 5-cent per round tax? That would amount
to $25 in tax for a $15 milk carton of 500 rounds of
.22 rim-fire rounds. Alan

Join the NRA and the ISRA. Illinois gun loby day is under a month away. Take a day off of work and drive to Springfield and tell your elected offocials what you think about these bills. Remember, without the NRA you would be throwing rocks at ducks.

BTW... If these Chi-town lawmakers (read:jokes) continue with these silly laws, lets sell chicago to Canada.
