Remember when you ran out of gas and had to walk to the gas station where they gave you a gallon of gas? You carried that gallon back to your car, poured it in, and then returned to the station to return the can and fill up.

Things are a little different with e-cars.

Giving a whole new meaning to miles per hour.

If that is a 1 kW generator and your car gets 0.3 miles per kWh, you will get 3.3 miles per hour of charging 😲

And with the trillions is socialism spending, they plan to install charging stations (running off of windmills I assume) all across the fruited plain. Can you imagine the expansive parking lots it will required when every "filling station" has vehicles connected for 30 minutes to several hours. Quiktrip stores will have to change their name to Glacialtrip.

Hey kids, while we are charging, let's go watch the double feature of Toy Story at the Glacialtrip cinema.

The upside is the interstates will be wide open as vehicles will spend more time charging than driving.

I know I am not the only one who has encouraged the fuel pump to go faster when I am running behind. Can you imagine when you realize you must stop to charge or you will not make it to the duck club on-time, and trying to calculate how long you need to stay plugged in to get to the blind by shooting time.

I see two honest solutions if the communists get their way.

(1) No one owns a car. When your battery is dying, you drop off your car at the GlacialTrip station, swipe your credit card in one that is pre-charged, move all your crap into the vehicle, and away you go. Like those scooters you see in woke downtown areas.

or

(2) Battery exchange program like how you swap out a propane tank, just a tiny bit heavier. You pull in, and Darrell pulls your battery pack out with a forklift, and slides a new battery pack in. Still going to take an hour, but you will have a fully charged battery.

Actually, I would spend twenty minutes trying to make the images align properly, but those are the actions of a very immature person. ;)
