I hunt a chisle plowed cornfield and lately we have had a little snow so that makes the field mostly black with a cover of snow. I was wondering how other hunters concealed their layout blinds in these conditions.

First of all, if you ever hunt in snow conditions, now is the time to buy the snow Christmas tree flocking spray. Works great and you may get it as cheap as $0.40/can in some places now.

The spray works great, and you can even use bed sheets (but you need to watch for the UV, purplish tint).

If you need black, try grabbing some frozen mud...throwing it in a bucket and adding some hot water. Than mud up the blind to start, than after it dries spray the flocking as needed.

Lots of work, but worth it if done right.

You can buy white covers made for the blind too. That is what I have. But if only a little snow around--do as Chris saidabout the mud/flocking combo.
