Nothing scarier than no water. We're not used to drought.Had a good taste of it last year. Now we got the opposite. The breeding areas for our local birds are in good shape.we make alot of wood ducks locally.

We are still about 18 feet below full pool at Clarks Hill lake. Lake Russell is about 4 feet below full pool. Hartwell is about 16 below full pool. We still need a lot more water. Lake Sinclair has gotten a lot of rain lately but still very very low.

Altoona is full. Sinclair needs lots more water. Hartwell is still about eight feet below full pool. Russell is about three feet below pool.
Clarks Hill is about 15 feet below pool but starting to get water. We still have a long way to go here.

Sinclair is not down, I was there last Tuesday night fishing and it was actually having water pumped back into it, Ga Powere keeps it full for power generation I believe.

That is what I am told they keep it full to keep up with power generation needs.

Water level update. Checked this morning. Hartwell seven feet below
pool, Russell one foot below pool, Clarks Hill seven feet below pool. It's starting to fill if they will just let it. Local ponds and swamps finally have water again, we should be in better shape this year than last. We still could use more water here, but much improved.

Glad to hear that but summer unfortunately is just around the corner and the rain has slacked off already, time will tell.

Well looks like Clarks Hill dropped some but the other two looks fairly good.

Well I went flying this morning and guess what, the army corp is full of it. The water levels that they have been posting are not even close.
According to the corp the lake levels are Hartwell below pool by seven feet, Russell is full, and Clarks Hill is down by seven feet. I checked all three today and Russell is close to full but the other two are in pretty bad shape. Yes, there is more water than last year but these lakes have a long , long way to go. Most docks are still out of the water with some coves completely dry. The good news is we are still getting rain and boy can we still use it. The corp simply isn't letting these lakes fill, they should be rising right now.

This from the same folks that wouldn't replace a $138.00 piece that let billions of extra gallons out of Lanier when it didn't need to.
