I'm new here and in the process of scouring the net trying to decide what to plant in our Honey Hole in SE Missouri. It is currently a corn field with some milo in the low spots that we will be flooding before season. Most of the crops will be harvested so I'm trying to decide what to plant in the area that will be flooded to augment the standing crops.

What would you plant? The flooded area will be about 3-5 acres. Of that less than an acre will be unharvested corn and/or milo.

The flooded corn will be what'll draw them the most, and keep them there in my opinion. Have you looked into Mossy Oak's Biologic?

I have looked at it, just wondering if there is something less exotic (read less expensive) that I can plant that will do just as well. We are counting on the corn and milo being the biggest draw, but we might as well do something else since there will be some open/shallow water and plenty of time to plant before we flood it.

I just want to hear the opinions of other hunters, first hand.
