Got a bunch of gift cards for Christmas and was wondering which brand of decoys I should buy next. I'm currently using flambeau stormfronts but it's time to upgrade. Preferably I'd like them to be made in USA. I'm also curious about flocked and Flambeau's uvusion decoys. Anybody have any pros or cons about the two? Any information would be great! Thank you! Merry Christmas!!

Dakotas are nice, but after two days of being in the spread the flocking is already looking patchy. The guy I hunt with bought them and doesn't pick decoys up daily. Avian X are just as nice and no worries about flocking, also cheaper.

Same here, used them once and the flocking is patchy and gone on spots. I've been rough on the bodies since then and they still look great. I have a set of replacement heads coming on backorder that I paid around 20 bucks for, and also got a slotted bag to help make the new heads last. I love those decoys, but wish they'd come with painted heads. The bodies themselves are very sturdy and the paint is tough.

G&H is the first "made in USA" factory decoy that comes to mind, and the price goes to prove it at well over $100 per doz. Someone above said Higdon is made in the USA....something to look in to. I recently purchased 3 dozen of their divers at $39 per 6. The foam filled have been holding together very well. I will more than likely be buying more of their product in the future.

I hated to see the little "made in China" sticker on the bottom of the half dozen AvianX woodies I bought the other day...

Higdon, Tanglefree, and Dakota are all Chinese manufactured decoys. Just because a company has an office and a warehouse in the USA does not make their decoys made in the USA. You are spending money to build China's manufacturing base, not Americas.

G&H are still made in OK and all that I have owned have been very durable decoys. In goose decoys Big Foot Original full bodies and floaters are made in Iowa. Real Geese silhouettes are made in the USA.
