Do they work for duck hunting? Do they have any effect on decoying geese as well?

They work good early in the year but they don't seem to cut the mustard late in the season.

Look for the enticers or other full body decoys.

Not many people use them, so they don't see alot of them. Keep a couple dozen in your arsenal and it doesn't hurt. :wink:

never heard of them my self but i just use 2 doz cheap water keel decoys in the field work better than most full body ducks that i have seen

Well stagnant decoys in the field are like stagnant decoys on the water--no movement is not natural. So Mallards windsocks are a nice tough for movement. I have about 3 dz of them along with my G&H shells. I preferr the socks and shells over water decoys because they stick up off of the ground for better visibility so approaching ducks see them better.

Jim over at www.prairiewinddecoys.com has mallard socks--the only place I know of that makes them.
