A former boss and long time hunting partnet in Minneapolis shared this with me. What if other provinces take advantage of this?

Kudos to DU and Delta for rebuffing the Canadians offer on 200 licenses.

I’m all for this, as well as the movement taking place out west to limit OOS hunters. Way too many people treat our natural resources like a commodity that exists chiefly for their own pleasure, and show up to take, take, take from something they never give anything to, or even think about the other 51 weeks of the year.

I don’t want to hear about your tourism dollars. I don’t think it’s any coincidence that the people who show up once a year to take are the same type of people who think you should be grateful they decided to give you some of their money.

At the end of the day conservation means making more baby Ducks each year. I hope this does not get lost in all of the hulabalu. If we don’t continue in our efforts to conserve habitat and enhance nest success in Canada, it will mean less Ducks stateside.

We have been guiding on a large scale in states like mine, Arkansas, for decades on a large scale. At the end of the day, those who can afford it will keep coming to Canada to hunt.
