Mossberg 935 freezing up

2598 Views 11 Replies 10 Participants Last post by  Jhaze1812
I searched and didn't really find an answer to my problem. I have a mossberg 935 and it cycles fine when it's inside my house or when it's when it's warm outside, but when it gets cold it cycles really slow and sometimes gets stuck. It usually will eventually close the chamber but it takes it a few second. When I watch the action close, where the action goes slow, there is some lighter color likes it been rubbing. It's almost like once it gets cold the action shrinks just enough to make everything a little too tight. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

The action spring in the butt stock is most likely the issue, it has been before with 935's they have been known to be greased and and when they get dirty they will cause trouble in the cold. your best bet is to disassemble it and clean it really well then hit it with the CLP and that should take care of the issues in cold weather.
