I am in the market for a 1 man + dog backwater boat. The ones I am considering are the carstens pintail, momarsh fat boy, and four rivers 11' boat.
Anyone have opinions or experience with any of these boats? If so, any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

I have a Carstens Puddler and it works great for water like what you are going to hunt. It is small enough to hide easy but I can put a dog and a couple dozen decoys in it.

It handles great and is very stable to shoot out of. I can get it across a mud flat with no problem.

The Pintail is great too if you need a little more room.

I just order a FatboyDP from momarsh. Should be heading north to Canada tomorrow.

I ordered the blind kit and grass to cover it up. Should be deadly on duck and geese. Rated for 550lbs and only draft 4 inches of water loaded up.

Check out NuCanoe.com. They have a creat boat for one person, a dog, and some dekes. They have several different camo options available as well as the option to have either a layout style seat or a standard seat.
