iuse a vest on my yellow lab ,depending on the weather conditions, i see guys whoose dogs are shaking , these dumb wads say that the poor beast is anxious...now way the dog is cold , i ssay its a wise move to keep your pal happy , plus when your hands get cold stick em up under that vest , its rite toasty in there ..........jmike
I use one for my yellow lab when it gets below freezing. The cold here in AR doesn't really affect her, but she's an inside dog and I'd rather be safe than sorry. They work so well that I actually use her as a hand warmer even after she's been wet. It feel like it is 100 degrees inside the vest and on those really cold days she looks like her vest is on fire because of all of the smoke coming out!
Get a vest. Your partner will thank you for it. Not only does it keep them warm, it gives them some flotation for a hard day in the field. My personal favorite is the Browning Duck Commander series. Only one I've seen that fits like it does and plus its 6mm. for added warmth and protection.
