New member intro about duck and fishing boat

Just started retirement in December and not sure I like the fixed income aspect. Currently finishing up a two year project to acquire and setup an awesome all-species hunting and fishing boat. May have gone a little overboard --- excuse the pun. It has been about fifteen years since my last Polar Kraft and how things have changed. I am currently setting up and learning to use the electronics for fishing, but plan to start looking for a duck blind soon. Anyone have any ideas? May need to sell the boat or get a part-time fund this extravagance.

In your situations it all boils down to if you want to spend a lot of time or a lot of money. You can build a pvc or conduit blind that is removable fairly quickly. Or spend a little money and buy a custom aluminum blind that bolts to your gunnels/a premade artificial grass blind. Your decision is all in your needs and specifications. Hope this helps,

Go on YouTube. Tons of stuff on there. A guy named Phil Kahnke has some videos about custom hard sided aluminum blinds he’s built. Are you looking to buy one or build one? It may be hard to find a store bought blind that fits your boat.
