Approx a year I bought a new house and 80 acres of land....adjacent to this 80 used to be a lake via a dike....unknown to me...the dike gave way years before I bought the land....It was never replaced as one adjacent landowner had a problem with water backed up on his/her property.....I made a few phone calls and learned that the concerned landowner had water backed up via a beaver dam 4 miles away......got permission for USFWS to enter the adjacent land to shoot elevations....Looks like the structure is going to be replaced as I and one other landowner have given the green light.....keep your fingers crossed....this wetland used to raise alot of birds......
