I went to Cabelas earlier to look at this gun due to your posts about it being a good gun. I found one in the used gun racks and was messing with it. I like the way it shouldered on me and the way it swung. The price isn't bad either.

Took it teal hunting for the last weekend of teal season and she functioned perfectly! Crushing teal with #4's with the skeet choke.

hey man how goes it i have just read the post about your 3500 and was just curious how its shooting in the colder weahter and if it is still shooting good im looking into buying one for waterfowling in Utah and it gets snowy and cold here also how does it shoot trap and skeet
I dont really use it on the range, mainly because I dont shoot skeet, but I have put over 3 cases of hunting loads, mainly Winchester 3.5 bb, through it to date. So far it hasnt been too cold yet, no snow to accumulate yet. BUt we have had days of 20 degree weather tho while out hunting. It has yet to fail me. I have dunked it times in the marsh and ponds, I have only cleaned it once. No malfunctions. It has been used as a paddle and to thump cripples when they are trying to swim away. Needless to say I love it, I also like my Charles Daly maxi-mag pump it has been through hell and back 4 seasons now no issues with it either. I would reccomend the stoeger because it is still in production. And a heads up if you hunt snows it has the same threads as a Beretta Extrema II, I am not sure how tight it gets as I can make a shim but I checked to see if the threads were the same and they are. No need to get an aftermarket choke the cheap winchester experts pattern nicely in the mod #2's and BB. I shoot the 3.5" 1 1/4oz @ 1625fps and get great patterns. I havent put it on paper but when water swatting, someone elses, cripples it is TIGHT!!!!

GET ONE!!!!

Not be an ass or anything but you have already shot 750 rounds of 3.5"bb this hunting season. Jesus, you are either tearing up the birds, or are a really poor shot, in which case I recommend the Benelli SBE 2.

I shot a case breaking it in and getting ready for season, and we pounded the tar out of the Doves, we have been hammering the birds and I was wrong I just broke into my 3rd case so I mispoke. We have been hunting with Chad belding, we would be shooting more birds but he cant seem to turn down the music when the birds start working us.

No need to explain yourself dozer rmb79 is a perfect example of whats wrong with this site calling people liars and dont have a clue how much you shoot. The way I see it you are just trying to help people out and you got people calling you a liar. Keep the reports coming thinking about buying one myself.

I am pretty sure that there was 100% sarcasm in rmb's post but I thought I would correct myself on what I had posted.

Winner Winner. Love the Belding reference. Did you slash his tires before of after you set up the spread?

Man if I even see a sticker rig in the area I will be at least cutting valve stems, last yr we got colon holed by a Z-UNIT/Avery Staffer because some little kid thought that he would run his mouth and tell them we had birds. RMB if you come this way leave your sticker rig at home or warn me so I dont get all excited about getting to use the FFD Slasher kit.

Did you actually order a magazine extension tube for your gun and make sure it fits? I am looking to get one for snows this spring and my gun is actually back at stoeger right now getting a warranty covered fix (where the butt stick connects the receiver the 2 plastic pins broke so the butt stock just spins) and I am wanting to order an extension now but I am not sure when my gun will be back to make sure its the right fit. Thanks for the info!

Not yet but I will be ordering one soon the threads are the same threads as an extremaand the nova , I found a +6 is the most that I can put on it with the ext range patternmaster.

Ps. Put a lot more rounds through it here lately, the only issue I have had was the recoil reducer came loose and needed to be tightened, simple fix non-issue if you ask me.

Sweet thanks for the help/info man.. much appreciated. I had the same issue with the recoil reducer, but put a little loctite on it and it has been great. I have also shot a lot of the 1 1/8 oz estate target loads with the recoil reducer in and had no problems with cycling (like I have heard others have). Its been a solid gun so far besides the stock issue.. hopefully get it back soon to break it in more before going after snows in March.

if you shoot turkey loads out of it with and without the recoil reducer you will realize that you want the recoil reducer. at least I did so I just left mine in and it seems to operate just the same with and without it for light load and goose loads.
