Been doing mostly field hunting, was wondering if there;s a lot of open water or if its gotten too cold lately haven't been watching the weather like I usually do.

On highway 12 the big lakes are mostly/partially frozen. It'll be damn near 60 the next few days with strong winds so potholes and maybe the lakes will open up a bit. South of Watertown I think you'd be hard pressed to find ice. I'm currently in Faulkton and stock dams and ponds are open

It's a bizzare fall. There is a webcam on a lake we hunt in sd and the bay has frozen and opened up again three or four times now. It's currently 9 degrees there now so it will be frozen in the am. But 50's soon after so I'm sure it will open back up in a few days.
