Well how did everyone do? No ressie, So I hit the Napa Sonoma Marsh with my buddy. Low tide made things tough. 2 teal and 2 widgeon for us plus we each caught a striper. Not the action we hoped for but it was fun.
Opener!

Very nice! We did not end up hunting the balance of state opener - figured it was not worth the crowds/limited water. Hoping for some rain/weather as we get more into this cooler fall weather!

It was insane balance of the state opener, tons of birds and a fantastic opening weekend. Limited both days plus geese!
Probably the benefits of the lack of water won't continue to pay off in the long run over the season I imagine. Keep doing the rain dance and praying because anything will help recover from where we are now. Looking forward we are in a tipping point of crisis and not just for waterfowl. Personal wells going dry, agriculture being limited or cut off completely are looming on the horizon and are already here in degrees. We just need more rain and not for those degrees to keep climbing...November already and it's still in the 80's plus!
