Anybody make it out? It's hardly worth getting out of bed for 1 goose.

I'm hunting the 1 a day zone around Middle Creek for many years and the hunting pressure is almost nonexistent, Saturday was the first day to hear any shooting. The geese are much more at ease coming off the MC roost and make for some good shooting but it's still only one a day. I make up for that by going everyday.

There was a good post over at huntingpa.com where tbe PGC stated that "very few if any SJB geese come this way anymore". You'll have to read it for yourself but it was Jeremy Stempka that stated that. So if thats true could someone please tell me why we have a SJB zone? I plan on throwing that in ther face at next years symposium.

Forget which State it was here in the AF that discontinued their SJB Zone but there's no doubt that some of these historical migrations have shifted off course from what they used to be.
And you're correct Don, Jeremy did say that the SJB doesn't have those geese passing thru there anymore and I agree it is time for a change to that Zone.

ALL Fairview Evergreen property, and there is one hell of a lot of it,is now closed to dove hunting thanks to the actions of some dove hunters. I guess houses were being sprayed with shot, there were many neighbor complaints from too many guys hunting the same fields so it sounded like a war zone, and the workers were not able to get into the fields to do their jobs because of the hunters. Next step will be that they post everything and then we will be done for.
