they are awsome, there like a extra full trukey choke that you can shoot steel out off, and they do pattern realy well, everybody that I know that can afford to buy any aftermarket choke buys that one, well almost everybody,
I have both the Patternmaster and a Briley "Duck" choke for my Beretta 390. I have used both and like them both. I used my Briley for about a year and then heard all the talk about the Patternmaster and bought one. Used it a few times and didn't notice any difference over the Briley. I was comfortable with the Briley so I use it and sold off the Patternmaster on Ebay.
Either one is worth the extra cash over the chokes that come with your gun.
I use the paternmaster with HeviShot size 6 and can drop ducks at 50+ yards I understand it actually slows the wad down before it exits the barrel, hence, increasing performace by allowing the pattern to stay together. When I shot at targets at 40 yards I have over two hundred pellits in my target there all in a tight patern. Before I used it, I had half the pellits in the center of the target at 40 yards and there were holes in my patern... well worth the 70 or 80 bucks I spent.
