Saw that you guys were talking about this peta.

Not knowing who they were I decided to check the website out for myself.

Good lord you guys have them all over there dont you?!!

It is quite serious though.

Just a QUESTION though: How much of an impact have they had on hunting over there and do you fell threatend?

Here as new zealand becomes more urbanised I feel more and more that my sport becomes threatend.

Nature isnt some cruelty free sex party and we like all other animals deserve a right to be apart of something that we have been since homoerectus.

If I have ever seen group of crazy single issue nutters!! :pissed:

JOKE :toofunny:

:toofunny: How do you tell a level headed peta member????? :toofunny:

:toofunny: He dribles out both sides of his mouth!!!! :toofunny:

We have to fight them all the time in state law houses. But other than that they are a bunch of goofs and the more they talk to the general public the better it is for us. Most people think they are ok when they think what they stand for but cant stand them once they really hear them and see how far over in the deep end they are. See when the average folks hear they want them to give up pets, steak other meats they just got pushed too far.

The folks at PETA are downright nuts. They put on a campaign in my city at some elementary schools handing out pamphlets and telling the kids that milk would make them fat, give them pimples all over their faces and that it was actually unhealthy for them.

HHHMMMM Well if meat is murder wouldnt milk be indecent assault???
That's great! :toofunny:

PETA has accounted for many of the terrorist attacks on US soil. They have burned fast food restaurants and medical testing sites. One of the dumbest things they did was dress up in a giant duck suit on opening day and go to harrass hunters. The only problem though, was that they went to a federally protected wetland were hunting wasn't allowed. If anything they pushed more ducks to eagerly waiting hunters on legal hunting grounds. I absolutely hate those f#%$'s.

We never had nut cases like PETA until the courts made it harder to have mental patients committed.
Now the wackos have rights and can go and do what they want.

Seriously, most people tend to sympathize with them up to the point where they actually hear what they have to say.
Clearly, they are not well grounded to reality.

Over the past ten years peta ( I just can't capitalize them four letter's  ) have put several thousand cat's, and dog's to sleep. Now is'nt that ironic!!! Then recently two member's were caught throwing dead dog carcasses into a dumpster at a fast food joint. peta made some joke of a statement, about how they were not affiliated with them members anymore. I have never seen any around my area that I know of, I have mercy on there soul if they ever tried to start something around here

PETA has never been a concern in this part of Arkansas. They have picketed the KFC's here in town, but I haven't seen anymore of them after some guy drove by really slow, rolled down his window and threw a cup full of spit and tobacco juice all over 5 of them. He must have planned it because he had duct tape over his license plate so they couldn't get his numbers.

As for hunting I have never seen any PETA freaks at the boat ramps before or after a hunt. They may all be idiots, but they must have put all of their collective brain cells together and figured that ticking off a bunch of sleep deprived, grumpy hunters with guns is not a good idea.

In christchurh (south Island NZ) There was a protest on a local lake ,unfortunatly for one protester the "STRAY SHOT" that hit his hippy ass had him hospitalised .

Our national newspaper interviewed some hippys and asked them if they would prefer to see animals die From over population and starvation instead of managing them by hunting. They said starvation was a much more natural way!

Kiwi, I love hearing stories about PETA idiots catching stray shot and things like that. It always puts a smile on my face.

I have heard a story from a guy that has been on these duck hunting forums since the first one popped up at least 7 or 8 years ago. He is from Florida and had taken his airboat down to the ramp early on opening morning. He and a bunch of other hunters were there to load in, but so where some PETA idiots. To make a long story short PETA was standing on a coutesy dock screaming their little heads off when he loaded his airboat in, fired up his 454 motor and proceeded to blow them completely off the dock.

Just to let ya know how crazy they are at PETA

I found this article in an old copy of Outdoor Canada:

Talk about putting everything you've got into a good cause. Ingrid Newkirk, president of PETA, has revealed that when she dies she wants her body to " be used in a mannar that draws attention to needless animal suffring and exploitation." A prime example: that her "meat" be ceremonially barbecued "to remind the world...that flesh foods are not needed." Newkirk strip, anyone? Herewith, we dissect the balance of her actual (we kid you not) final requests.

-That leather products be made from her skin.

-That one thumb be mounted upright and delivered to the person who has done the most to alleviate the use of animals

-That her liver be vacuum-packed and shipped to France to protest the force-feeding of ducks and geese for foie-gras

-That her feet be made into umbrella stands

-That an eye be delivered to the administrator of the U.S. E.P.A. as a reminder that PETA will always be watching

-That Ottawa recieves an ear "to help them hear the screams" of animals trapped for thier fur

-That the other thumb be mounted in the opposite direction and presented to a person who has hurt animals in an egregious manner

-That an index finger be delivered to the owner of Ringling Bros. circus on behalf of the countless animals "who have been kidnapped from thier families"

Some PETA member left one of their brochures (about fishing) in my kiosk at work the other day. I promptly removed the material and have it in my desk at work. I will post the text of the brochure later this weeked so you guys can see the garbage these extremists distribute.
