I have a pirogue with a few little holes and cracks. The boat floats but it is agravating on cold days when there is a water in the bottom. I need to know how to fix holes in a fiberglass pirogue. :help:

Just shooting from the hip here but I would think standard fiberglass repairs would be fine. assuming holes, not cracks or tears. From my limited experience with fiberglass about all i can offer is this. flip the boat over "saw horses" 1 clean sand trim if necessary. 2 apply resin, then fiberglass material, resin 3 shape and smooth. 4 sand down 5 repeat if needed. 6 paint. probably wouldn't hurt to look at the inside of the boat as well. reinforce repair as needed. maybe go talk to a body shop guy wouldnt hurt either who knows might do the pro fix for cheep on the side.

Good advice there. I had to do the same thing on mine when I had a couple of 4-Rivers. I bought the boats used, and the small boat had some beaching/dragging damage. It wasn't leaking yet, but wasn't far from it. Did the same as recommended above, plus put some extra layers on the runners for future protection. I used cat hair, and mesh fabric. Worked fine.
