Do pointing labs look more like a trial dog? I haven't really seen a big blocky headed pointing lab yet. just curious.
A tip for guys who don't have pointing labs but still hunt with thier labs in the field. Train your dog to either stop on command or remote sit. When he gets birdy, if your not ready for the bird, give the command or hit the whistle to stop him. When you are ready, release him. Works almost as good as pointing labs, except you have to know when they get birdy.....
