The mud pond changes from year to year. Was only a few years ago we used Carp's boat on the lake. Suddenly there wasn't enough water to float it so we had to change tactics to coffins and that worked. Be prepared and be ready to change tactics if something isn't working.
Plenty of birds, just a tuff place to hunt without alot of scouting, and even then it's still pretty tuff. If you find a good spot don't hunt it on weekends unless you want it to get ruined. It's going to take alot of water to get the lake high enough to hunt out of a boat. I'm afraid we're not going to be hunting the lake much longer with all of the developement encroaching on it. Enjoy it while we can.
