Does anyone know about the blinds on Herring Creek down the beach, well right off the rehoboth bay...there are a couple blinds set up...are they first come first serve? or are they all private blinds in that area?

Not sure what the rules are for the state of DE but while daffy gone I see if I can help yea. If there anything like MI, you are allowed a fixed blind on public land but your last name and # number need to be clearly marked and the blind is yours to hunt from no matter what time you get there and most game warden's will remove you if you are in a blind that belongs to someone that owns it tring to hunt. If you want to hunt from the blind, find the number and give them a call, most guys are cool with it. If it is unmarked, it is on a first come , first serve. The rules about blinds should be in your waterfowl rules and regs book. I'll see if I can hunt for a link to help yea out.

Hope this helps. Looks like everthing I have read says you need a permit to hunt from a blind on public land. There is a list of public sites and blind numbers on the secound link and it also states that you need to be 1500 ft from a blind to hunt from a boat. Wow. It's 1000 here is FL. Thier is a phone number ot the bottom of the page on the first link that is for the permits. Good luck.

Hey DEDuck34 if you have'nt found your answer yet check under DNREC's site for Hunting Maps. I am not too familiar with the area you are looking at Blinds. I do know that on the Assawoman Maps they include Blinds on Indian River and a few Rivers and Creeks @ Camp Barnes off of Route 26. If that fails I have called the Fish and Wildlife Law Enforcement Office. They would definitely know and could tell you where to go to draw those Blinds. Sorry So Late with the post I just got back into town. Good Luck!

i think to hunt the rehobeth bay and indian river days you need a delaware seashore permit, i dont even think they cost anything.last year they didnt. i think you can get them at any state park that has a ranger station.

The state park permits cost $10 starting this year.Go to the DNREC website and go to the maps. Then click on the state parks there you will find DE Seashore State Park,it will give you your info and your maps for this site. But you have to go to a park office(like Cape Henlopen) to get the needed permit(and maybe some maps).

Sorry,I forgot from what I heard there is some public land on the NE side of Rehobeth Bay and the west side around the powerhouse of Indian River Bay.But there is also a lot of private blinds around these areas so you have be careful.I have yet to find any maps on these areas and believe me I have tried pretty hard.
But remember this is all been told to me and I havent scouted these areas yet and have no state maps to back me up on what areas are what.If you do find info on these spots PLEASE share them with me!!
