The guy that needs a team to hunt chimes in again.I have never seen an otter or a mink so it was a guess.I have caught plenty of blackfish,And I would be willing to bet my boat is worth more than your house little boy.
But what species is it? is it a type of grouper, or is it in the same family as a sheepshead?
yea I just read your post and assumed it was in fact an otter...didn't scroll up to look closely....we have plenty of both down here in louisiana...matter of fact, at the mouth of the mississippi river outta venice, if you look on google earth at head of passes-the pass headin out all the way to the right is Pass a loutre...or "Otter Pass"...
We were teal hunting about 10 years ago and a pair of 'em swim out and start playing with our downed birds...throwing them up in the air, laying on their backs and kicking them like 10 feet up with their hind legs...

we had to immediately go and pick up the downed birds that had floated against the grass.... we had to use the pirouge to cross a deep channel, they made off with 1 of them though.....
They are fun creatures to watch in the water....
