reloading is much cheaper, however, you will need to purchase the reloader, components, hulls ( if you're not saving them), etc.

hi i was looking at some reloaders for a pretty good while and i was just thinking if they would cost more to reload or is it better to just go buy shotgun shells i dont have one so i dont now so i was just thinking if anyone could give me any advice on one cause i think i might buy me one

I SHOOT A HOLE LOT! i go duck hunting a lot and geese and quail and i shoot a bunch of skeet
you can also keep a look out on sights like ebay for components. I got a 9000G used there real cheap. You can also get hulls. 2000 AA hulls cost me like $10.00. They dont have the primers, powder, or shot there that Ive seen.
like was stated; reloaded shells are much cheaper than factory, BUT your initial start-up cost will have you wondering. the cost of your reloader and accessories can be $200 or more for new equipments. Buying your components in bulk saves a lot of money. I shoot a lots of skeet, trap, and sporting clays. 8 - 10 boxes on a typical weekend. Roughly calculating cost of components, not figuring equipment. AA quality shells can be loaded for around $2.00 a box buying powder in 4lb bulk, 2500 wads/case, 10000 primers per case, and reloading hulls about 10 tens.
I can't say that reloading has saved me any money, I do know I can afford to shoot a whole lot more. I can reload 10 boxes easily in an evening and have expanded to reloading many other types of shells to the point I now have seperate reloaders for 12ga 3" steel, 12ga 2 3/4 skeet, 16ga, 20ga 2 3/4, and .410 2 1/2; plus 5 rifle cartidges and 5 pistol cartridges.
get you some good manuals and follow them religously, watch garage sales and ebay for deals on equipment, some of the bigger exclusive guns shops will sometimes have trade-ins on equipment at a discount also. good luck and good shooting

You can buy Kent hi-vel, Win 3" 1 1/8 BB @1550fps and Fed 1 1/4 bb @1275fps close out specials at $5.50 a box like I did. However;buy reloading,one can "custom" fit a load to his or her type of hunting need!!A 1 1/8oz of #5 for decoys or maybe 1 1/8oz #2 for your ave. duck shot ; all c/o a 2 3/4" hull!! From 0 - 50 yards you don't need a 3" plus load to bag your game. If you do, its time you go to the TRAP range and learn how to place your pattern in the right spot; not just close enough to get the job done!!
