I’m getting heavy into scouting across Florida, I’ve been hammering on the weekends looking for decent spots and I’ve found one that’s worth a try so far but I know it’ll be loaded with hunters.

Next up I’m going to central Florida to look for more options, but there’s so many bodies of water (I’ve already got a handful I know can be potentially good) but does anyone have tips via google earth/hunting apps to tell how shallow water is, maybe ways to tell the vegetation types and water clarity. My goal is to cut down the amount of gas I’m going through cause I’m driving 2+ hours to get anywhere I want to try scouting. This seasons going to be my first duck hunting season and I’m doing it solo all season nobody else to help scout or hunt (although obviously people that want to come hunt without putting in the work)

And for season, how many spots do you guys generally have so you can have a plan a,b,c etc.

And for Florida what vegetation am I looking for to draw ducks if any?
And does anyone know the effects of the killing off vegetation in the lakes with ducks. It can really ruin bass fishing spots but I’ve been rolling around barely finding any clean water cause they kill off all the natural filter for the water.

Fugg the guys that don't help, I quit taking people like that ANYWHERE. Would rather have all the birds to myself. No free rides.

I'm in Ohio. Plan A, B and C. And getting there REALLY early doesn't mean some douchebag won't walk in on you at shooting light so the more remote, the better.

Can’t count how many times I’ve had people say “take me hunting man” after I’ve spent 100s of hours trying to put myself on animals. Might as well start giving my paycheck away as well if that’s how things work. I’m hoping to get a few solid spots to avoid hunting pressure my only real solid spot I’ve found so far is well known in the fishing community so I’m sure it’ll be well populated once season opens.
